    Today is the 50th Anniversary of Meadow Brook Music Festival, originally built as the DSO’s summer home in 1964. Today’s #TBT is a vintage photo of this awesome venue where we will perform tonight with superstar violinist Joshua Bell!

    This Saturday Steven Spielberg added his name to our backstage wall of amazing artists who have performed on the Orchestra Hall stage!

    It was with great sadness that we learned of the passing of dear DSO friend, legendary Spanish conductor Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos. He was truly one of the greats, and we are honored and humbled to have shared our stage with him for many, many years.

    Our full performance of Frühbeck de Burgos leading Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8 is now here and on our YouTube channel in his loving memory.
